Adult Bible Study, Sundays at 9:30am
The Love of the Bridegroom
In our Sunday morning adult class, we tend to focus on slowly walking through the text. A recently completed study was on the Song of Songs. It’s a challenge to critically examine poetry without analyzing the soul out of the work, but this was a good balance of critical study and contemplative reflection.
Prayer: Finding the Heart’s True Home
When Pastor Ed attended seminary, he took a class on prayer. One of the main texts was Prayer: Finding the Heart’s True Home by Richard Foster. He decided to write a companion Bible study to go along with the book.
Wednesday Bible Study, 7:00pm
1, 2, 3 John & Jude
A verse by verse Bible study of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John, with the book of Jude thrown in for good measure!
The Holy Spirit:
What Work Is Done In Our Lives?
A Bible study based on collected sermons of Charles Haddon Spurgeon. A London preacher during the 1800’s, Spurgeon is considered one of the influential ministers of his age. Dubbed “the Prince of Preachers”, he taught from a Reformed Baptist viewpoint of the Scriptures.
In this Bible study, material from ten of his sermons about the ministry and work of the Holy Spirit are used as the framework for examining what work the Holy Spirit does in the life of the Christian.
